    Christmas 2018

Merry Christmas! I hope that everyone had an amazing day! We enjoyed Christmas Eve with my family, and then today with my husband’s family. We had so much fun with everyone and it’s hard to believe that it’s going to be a new year in just one week. This year was so much fun to watch my son’s excitement. He got a new train table, books, and lots of cars! He still wasn’t too sure about unwrapping, but he was super excited when he saw what was under the paper. Overall, it’s been a great year and I’m looking forward to what 2019 will bring! I couldn’t resist these ugly…

    Christmas Pictures 2018

I have been wanting to get family Christmas card pictures for a while now, and we finally got around to taking some. They are’t exactly what I had pictured in my mind, but they will have to do for this year. I don’t know how anyone takes decent family photos with a toddler. It was a bit challenging to get photos when my son didn’t want to sit still for two seconds and every time the camera was up he would refuse to look or smile. But at the end of the day, it’s not a big deal and it’s actually kind of comical. So here’s our 2018 Christmas pictures:…

    5 Great Books for Toddlers

I love reading books with my son! Reading is very important for developing minds and it is a great way to spend  some quiet time together. The only problem is that sometimes (or all of the time) our busy toddlers don’t want to sit still and read a book! So how do we encourage reading with our busy little toddlers? I have found that these interactive books make my toddler want to sit down and engage in the story. Here is a list of 5 great interactive books for busy little ones! 1. Poke-A-Dot! An Alphabet Eye Spy: This book is great at getting toddlers interested with its fun little popping raised…

    “Perfect” Mommy

When I was pregnant with my son, all I could think about was becoming a stay-at-home mom! I would daydream about strolling through the mall with my beautiful new baby, play dates with other “put together” moms, and my house looking like it belonged in a Martha Stewart magazine. Well there’s a reason that I used the word “daydream”, because sometimes being a stay-at-home mom isn’t as picturesque as I may have thought it up to be. The house may not always be immaculate and  sometimes play dates consist of walking through Target with a friend picking up our last minute groceries and diapers, but honestly that is ok with…

    Farm Fall Festival

Good morning! I’m so glad that we made it to the Littleton Museum pumpkin patch yesterday, because today it’s snowing and freezing outside! My family and I love the pumpkin patch at this location. It has gorgeous scenery and a lot of fun activities for the kids! They have a bunch of farm animals, a wagon ride, performers, and great treats like pumpkin muffins! There are also a ton of great pumpkins to choose from! James mainly wanted to look at the animals and large farm equipment! He wasn’t too impressed with the pumpkins. But overall we had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! 🙂 I got…

    Monday Makeup Finds

Hello Monday! It’s hard to believe that another weekend has flown by. Today I am sharing some of my favorite makeup finds that I have been using! I have very fair and sensitive skin, so sometimes it is difficult to find products that work for me, but here are a few products that I’m loving lately! Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: I absolutely love this mascara from Too Faced. It gives me thick lashes without all of the clumping! I also love that it gives my eyelashes a more natural look rather than being super bulky and spidery. Arrow Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm: This tinted lip balm is my go-to…

    Cozy Sweater Look for Fall

It is finally starting to feel like fall here in Colorado. We have had some pretty chilly mornings and evenings, but that means that I can start wearing all of my favorite cooler weather clothing! I absolutely love oversized comfy sweaters, boots, and flannel! I recently found this cute sweater at American Eagle and was eager to wear it to a historic farm site with my son.

    Low Cost Fall Table Decor

Hello Fall! I absolutely love everything about Fall! I love pumpkin spice, comfy sweaters, Halloween decor, etc. I stopped into Target on October 1st and picked out some cute items to put together on our table. The best part was that it was fairly inexpensive and easy to do! The table runner is from the Hearth & Hand with the Magnolia collection.   The mini battery-powered string lights are from Pier One Imports I’m looking forward to decorating other parts of the house and finding a Halloween costume for my son!

    Baby Nursery Decor

I finally got around to posting some pictures of my son’s nursery. We love the simplicity in the monochromatic tones and elephant theme. I knew from the beginning that I wanted something neutral, and I found exactly that through these pieces. Here is a glimpse of my baby’s room: The crib and bedding were purchased at Buy-Buy-Baby, and the wall art pieces were purchased at Hobby Lobby!
